The candidate should be between 10 to 12 years of age as of March 31st of the year of admission.
For Class IX Admission:
The candidate should be between 13 to 15 years of age as of March 31st of the year of admission.
Additionally, the candidate must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school at the time of admission.
3. Gender
Both boys and girls are eligible for admission in Class VI.
Only boys are eligible for admission in Class IX.
4. Reservation Policy
Scheduled Castes (SC): 15% of the seats.
Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% of the seats.
Children of Service Personnel including Ex-Servicemen: 25% of the seats are reserved for children of service personnel, including ex-servicemen.
State Quota: 67% of the seats are reserved for candidates from the state where the Sainik School is located. The remaining 33% are for candidates from other states and union territories.
5. Medical Fitness
Candidates must be medically fit as per the standards prescribed by the Sainik Schools Society.
